Growing up as a child in the 90s, I remember the heartbreak when our neighbors had power (NEPA LIGHT) in our neighborhood and we don’t . I also recall having to wait for power to watch movies and listen to music, Going to school without ironed uniforms due to the lack of electricity is another vivid memory from that time, These experiences have shaped my desire for a reliable power supply. Even as an adult, it's amusing how we still have to wait for power to do certain things. I have always believed in finding a solution to this problem, but my knowledge in science and the environment has taught me that the quick fix is not the best solution. During my school project, I worked on a solar installation for a mechanical workshop. This project gave me insight into the potential of renewable energy. As a result of my quest for constant power supply, Solar Shelters became a reality. At Solar Shelters, we provide power to clients of different classes, taking their preferences and financial capabilities into consideration. This makes it easy to provide power to every type of client, There is a common misconception that solar or renewable energy is only for the wealthy or middle class, but at Solar Shelters, we have made it affordable for every individual. Our system offers both post-pay and prepay options, with tariff plans starting as low as three thousand naira. We have carefully selected our technology to power homes and businesses, taking into account the increasing demand for power in our country, With Nigeria's estimated population projected to reach 300 million by 2030 and 400 million by 2050, Solar Shelters sees this growth as an opportunity and is planning and implementing the necessary technology to serve our expanding population. Nigeria is a leader in fintech in Africa, we aim to build the infrastructure required to maintain this position. We are resilient and optimistic people, even in the face of hardship, We are fortunate to have a weather system that supports renewable energy, whether it be wind or solar. By incorporating these forms of energy, we are working towards reducing the negative effects on the atmosphere and mitigating climate change.
